Magnificent festivities were held in Chantilly. Molière created Les Précieuses ridicules there in 1659 and performed Tartuffe. Under the direction of the famous maître d’hôtel François Vatel, the refinement was exquisite: it was during this time that the world-renowned Chantilly cream is said to have been invented.

The Château de Chantilly is a palace located in Chantilly, Oise, in northern France, in the valley of the Nonette River, a tributary of the Oise River.
The Château de Chantilly is located 20 minutes from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and 40 km from Paris. If traveling by car, you can take the A3 and/or A1 motorways, exiting at “Chantilly,” or use the D316 and D317 roads (40 km from Paris).
For those taking the train, direct SNCF mainline services from Gare du Nord reach Chantilly-Gouvieux station in just 25 minutes. From there, a free bus and shuttle service is available. Departures are from platform A1 of Chantilly-Gouvieux station, with options including the DUC, Bus 645 to Senlis, or the Navette Touristique shuttle.
If traveling by train, be sure to check the train, bus, and shuttle schedules in advance.
The Château de Chantilly itself does not offer accommodations for overnight stays. However, there are several hotels and other lodging options nearby where you can stay, such as in the town of Chantilly or surrounding areas. Some of these hotels offer a charming atmosphere, allowing visitors to experience the region’s beauty while staying close to the Château. For a more luxurious experience, you can explore properties like the Auberge du Jeu de Paume, which is located near the château and offers high-end accommodations.
This wedding venue offers a variety of options for couples, including celebrations in the Château, the Grounds, and the Great Stables. One standout is Maison de Sylvie, a 17th-century building located on the Château de Chantilly estate. Its French garden, with its intricate vegetable lace design, provides a stunning backdrop for your event.
Within Maison de Sylvie, you’ll find several elegant salons: Sylvie, Théophile, Marie-Félice, Bourbon, and The Rotunda. The Bourbon salon features a bright room that opens to the French-style garden and a terrace overlooking Sylvie’s pond, with décor inspired by Asian influences. For a more classical atmosphere, the Rotunda is an excellent choice, boasting parquet floors, moldings, a crystal chandelier, and a marble fireplace.
At the Stables, I can also envision a breathtaking ceremony at the Dome, a majestic amphitheater.
Its capacity may vary depending on the chosen venue and event format (e.g., lunch, dinner, cocktail reception, etc.), ranging from 10 to 2,400 people.
Rental hours are limited to ensure the castle’s regular opening schedule is respected – make sure to check the availability.
Wedding photos are permitted exclusively on the château grounds. For photography without professional equipment (such as tripods, suitcases, or umbrellas), the fee is €380 for the bride, groom, and photographer. Any additional guests will need to purchase an entrance ticket for the “Grounds.”
